How do I get to Winter Summerland Mini Golf in Disney World?

SmarterHolidays blog

We will be going to WDW in Nov. and we are staying at the All Star Movies Resort. We are wanting to go to the Winter Summerland Mini Golf Course our first day. We know its by Blizzard Beach and from what I have read on the internet it says to take the Blizzard Beach bus and just go across the street. But we are wanting to go later in the evening and Blizzard Beach closes at 5pm. So is there another bus we can take to get to the golf course and get back to our hotel?
We aren’t renting a car. We will be using Disney transportation.

    This is easy…

Since you are staying in a WDW resort, you have access to all of their free little perks.

Simply go to the front desk and speak to someone in guest services. Tell them you need directions and they will pull out a file with all these little business size cards in it. They have them with directions on how to get pretty much anywhere from your hotel. They will DEFINITELY have one with driving directions to the golf course.

ALSO, the hotel offers free bus services to the golf course on a regular basis throughout the day. If you are staying in a WDW resort, you can get free transportation to any Disney attraction, including Disney Village (great shopping place).

****I just read your part about the bus. Ask the guest services person and Disney will arrange for transportation for you. Every Disney guest is a VIP!****

Did you also know that as a Disney resort guest, you don’t have to carry a single package you purchase in the parks with you? Just give the cashier your resort name and room number and they will have it sent to your hotel!

There are so many perks to staying in the parks… Be SURE to take the buses to the parks rather than drive. You have no idea how much easier and quicker it is. Also, you can get in an hour earlier and often stay later as a resort guest…

I could go on all day…

I agree, that was a great answer. I would just like to add that Disney will arrange transportation, but they will charge you for that transportation. It will not be free, like the buses.

According to Deb’s site, after Blizzard Beach closes, there is a “new” bus route that travels to Blizzard Beach up to 9pm. Just check with the hotel about the new route. See the TRANSPORTATION paragraph below.

    WINTER SUMMERLAND FAST FACTS
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is located near the entrance to Blizzard Beach and is themed as Santa’s permanent off-season retreat. The elf-sized course is divided into two 18-hole experiences. One course carries the snow-clad Florida look reminiscent of Blizzard Beach, and the other has a more tropical holiday theme, with ornaments hanging from palm trees.

    OPERATING HOURS: 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily

TRANSPORTATION: Park your car in the Blizzard Beach lot or take a Disney transportation bus from your Disney hotel to Blizzard Beach. Bus transportation is available during Blizzard Beach operating hours. Guests may take Walt Disney World transportation directly to Blizzard Beach and walk to Winter Summerland. After Blizzard Beach closes and up until 9 p.m. nightly, guests can take the new bus route, which includes stops at All-Star Resorts, Blizzard Beach, and Epcot.

    COST:

$10.75 (plus tax) for Day Guests and $8.50 (plus tax) for children ages 3-9.

50 percent off the second same-day round; must show receipt for proof of purchase.

yes, it is right across the street from blizzard beach. You can just cross the street, but last time while i was there they had a bus for it…but i had never seen one before that, so maybe they will have one when you go. You can also type in DISNEY WORLD PHONE BOOK into google, and then you can call disney and ask them for the most specific answer. >>hope this helped and have fun, i am going back for my 8th time real soon!!
